    Part-Time Executive Director

    About Us: The MAGIC Charities Foundation, short for “Making a Great Investment in Children,”
    is a registered 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to advocating for and investing in the well-being of 
    children. MAGIC supports initiatives focused on health and well-being, literacy and education, 

    adoption and foster care, advocacy, and child safety

    Position Summary: The Executive Director will provide strategic leadership and operational
    oversight for MAGIC in partnership with the Board of Directors. This part-time role leads 
    fundraising, donor and community engagement, grant management, operations, and external 
    partnerships. The ideal candidate is proactive, relationship-driven, detail-oriented, and passionate 
    about advancing MAGIC’s mission for children.

    Role Snapshot: This is a part-time, hybrid leadership role averaging 25 hours per week, with remote
    work and regular in-person meetings, events, and community engagements in Bucks County. The
    Executive Director will serve as MAGIC’s primary operational leader, fundraiser, community

    ambassador, and partner to the Board.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Fundraising and Events:

    o Create and execute a development strategy designed to achieve a year-over-year increase in funds raised through events, appeals, and other fundraising activities.

    o Oversee and execute existing fundraising events, including the Annual Golf Gala and annual appeal.

    o Oversee a Media and Events Consultant and work with Committee volunteers to manage Golf Gala logistics including but not limited to ticket sales, sponsorships, event communications, and auction items.

    2. Donor Relations and Communications:

    o Cultivate and steward relationships with major donors, corporate sponsors, and government agencies.

    o Develop and distribute communications, such as newsletters, fundraising appeals, and donation acknowledgements.

    o Create media and PR opportunities to generate additional awareness of the Magic brand

    o Draft the annual report for the marketing team to design.

    3. Digital Infrastructure and Data Management:

    o Manage and maintain the tech stack—such as Customer Relationship Management (CRM) databases, online donation tools, and communication platforms.

    o Regularly test and update website links to ensure functionality.

    o Manage data requirements for matching funds and grants.

    4. Community Engagement:

    o Create and execute a community engagement plan to expand community partnerships, collaborative initiatives, and brand awareness

    o Cultivate and maintain relationships with community partners and stakeholders.

    o Represent MAGIC at events, media engagements, and communications to enhance visibility and support.

    5. Grant Management:

    o Oversee all facets of the grant submission and selection process, including but not limited to process design, promotions, platform/portal management, selection committee management, and fund recipient communication.

    o Prepare grant contracts for fund recipients and coordinate disbursements.

    o Ensure compliance with grant requirements and reporting.

    6. Financial Oversight:

    o Develop, monitor, and manage the annual budget in collaboration with the board treasurer.

    o Oversee daily administrative operations, ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.

    o Maintain robust internal controls and accurate financial reporting.

    o Maintain and grow the endowment fund balance.

    o Monitor donations, grant income, and organizational expenditures.

    7. Board Collaboration:

    o Partner with the Board of Directors to develop and execute the organization's strategic plan

    o Compile quarterly updates for each program and grant for Board meetings.

    o Provide regular updates on operational and financial health to inform Board decisions.


    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Nonprofit Management, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.

    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in nonprofit management, fundraising, or a related area.

    • Proficiency with CRM systems (e.g., Network for Good) and event management platforms (e.g., GiveSmart).

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

    • Ability to work independently in a remote setting and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

    • Familiarity with the Bucks County community and local nonprofit landscape is a plus.

    • Knowledge of GiveSmart or other donor CRM's

    Compensation: The salary range for this part-time, 25-hour-per-week role is $31,680 to $40,600,

    commensurate with experience and qualifications

    1. Fundraising Growth: Achieve a year-over-year increase in funds raised through events and appeals.

    2. Donor Retention Rate: Maintain or improve the percentage of donors who continue to support MAGIC annually.

    3. Community Engagement: Expand the number of active community partnerships and collaborative initiatives.

    4. Operational Efficiency: Ensure timely acknowledgment of donations, accurate data entry, and adherence to event and reporting timelines.
